Hormone research peptides

Short answer

Hormone research peptides are reproductive and neuroendocrine peptides. The group covers PT-141 (bremelanotide), kisspeptin, oxytocin and HCG.

What are hormone research peptides?

Hormone research peptides are reproductive and neuroendocrine peptides. The group covers PT-141 (bremelanotide), kisspeptin, oxytocin and HCG.

Oxytocin and hCG are also registered medicines. PT-141 (bremelanotide) and kisspeptin-10 are melanocortin and KISS1R receptor ligands.

Which compounds are in this group?

PRODUCTWHAT IT ISSTRENGTHSFROM
HCGGlycoprotein hormone made of two non-covalently bound subunits (alpha, shared with LH/FSH/TSH, and hCG-specific beta)5000IUA$83
KisspeptinEndogenous decapeptide fragment of kisspeptin (KISS1 gene product) that activates the KISS1R/GPR54 receptor10mgA$85
OxytocinEndogenous nonapeptide hormone of the posterior pituitary (cyclic, Cys1-Cys6 disulfide, C-terminal amide)10mgA$78
PT-141Synthetic cyclic heptapeptide melanocortin receptor agonist (metabolite-like analogue of Melanotan II with a C-terminal acid)10mgA$53

How do these compounds differ?

PT-141 and kisspeptin are short synthetic peptides; oxytocin is a 9-amino-acid hormone; hCG is a large two-subunit glycoprotein.

How is each batch tested?

Every batch is tested by an independent lab, [lab], before it goes on sale: purity by HPLC and identity by mass spectrometry. The certificate is published under the batch number printed on the vial.

Search any batch number in the certificate library. The testing page explains each method and its limits.

Legal status depends on the compound. 13 of the 28 research compounds in this range are listed in Schedule 4 of the Poisons Standard (prescription only), counting tesamorelin under the group entry for growth hormone-releasing hormones. 7 are also listed in Appendix D clause 5, which makes possession without authority an offence. The rest are not named in the Poisons Standard. Each product page states its compound's status, and Peptides Collective sells every product for laboratory research use only.

The legal guide explains each schedule, Appendix D and the WADA list.

How should they be stored?

Store sealed lyophilised vials frozen (about -20 degrees Celsius), dry and dark. Keep reconstituted solutions at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius and avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

BAC Water (sterile water with 0.9% benzyl alcohol) is the usual laboratory solvent. Dilute acetic acid is the alternative for peptides that dissolve poorly in water. Each product page names the solvent for its compound.

The storage guide and reconstitution guide cover laboratory handling.

Hormone questions

What are peptides for hormones?

Hormone research peptides are reproductive and neuroendocrine peptides such as kisspeptin-10, oxytocin and PT-141, plus the glycoprotein hCG.

Are peptides available in Australia?

Peptides Collective sells research peptides online across Australia for laboratory research use only, with a published certificate for every batch and tracked dispatch from Western Australia.

Is BPC-157 a peptide hormone?

No. BPC-157 is a synthetic 15-amino-acid peptide described as a fragment of a gastric protein, and no gland secretes it as a hormone.

Are these compounds legal to buy in Australia?

Legal status depends on the compound. 13 of the 28 research compounds in this range are listed in Schedule 4 of the Poisons Standard (prescription only), counting tesamorelin under the group entry for growth hormone-releasing hormones. 7 are also listed in Appendix D clause 5, which makes possession without authority an offence. The rest are not named in the Poisons Standard. Each product page states its compound's status, and Peptides Collective sells every product for laboratory research use only.

Which compounds here are Schedule 4?

HCG and Oxytocin are listed in Schedule 4 of the Poisons Standard. Kisspeptin, PT-141 are not named.

Is every compound in stock?

Every product is in stock at the time of this update. Stock shows on each product page and in the cart.

Where do orders ship from?

Orders ship tracked from Western Australia. Orders placed before [cut-off] leave the same business day. Delivery estimates for each state are on the shipping page.

What do these compounds have in common?

Each acts on reproductive or neuroendocrine signalling.

Which strengths are available?

HCG: 5000IU; Kisspeptin: 10mg; Oxytocin: 10mg; PT-141: 10mg.

How are they shipped?

Orders ship tracked from Western Australia. Orders placed before [cut-off] leave the same business day. Delivery estimates for each state are on the shipping page.

Which compound in this group has the most research?

Oxytocin and hCG, which are registered medicines with decades of clinical research.

Do these compounds share a solvent?

BAC Water (sterile water with 0.9% benzyl alcohol) is the usual laboratory solvent. Dilute acetic acid is the alternative for peptides that dissolve poorly in water. Each product page names the solvent for its compound.
