Short answer
What is DSIP?
DSIP (delta sleep-inducing peptide) is a 9-amino-acid peptide first isolated from rabbit blood during induced sleep in the 1970s.
It also appears in the literature as emideltide, DSIP, H-Trp-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ala-Ser-Gly-Glu-OH.
What is in each DSIP vial?
| STRENGTH | FORM | PRICE | CERTIFICATE |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10mg | Lyophilised powder | A$78 | Pending |
What has research on DSIP examined?
DSIP was first characterised in rabbits in the 1970s and later studied in animal models and small human sleep studies in the 1980s-1990s, including a double-blind study in chronic insomnia. A 2006 review described its physiological role and receptor as still unresolved.
The table lists primary sources by year and model. Findings describe the study subjects, not this research vial.
What adverse events have studies of DSIP reported?
The evidence is small studies of intravenous DSIP from the 1980s. A few of 107 inpatients treated for alcohol or opiate withdrawal reported headaches (PMID 6548969). Studies in 6 healthy volunteers and 6 chronic insomniacs reported that no side effects were observed (PMIDs 6895513, 7028502).
These findings describe the people or animals in each study. The sources list gives every PubMed record.
How do you reconstitute and store DSIP?
Store the sealed vial frozen (about -20 degrees Celsius), dry and away from light until it is reconstituted.
After reconstitution with a sterile solvent, keep the solution at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius and avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Record the solvent, volume and date on the vial label.
BAC Water is the usual laboratory solvent. Dilute acetic acid is an alternative for peptides that dissolve poorly in water. The reconstitution guide and storage guide cover laboratory handling.
| STATE | TEMPERATURE | NOTES |
|---|---|---|
| Sealed vial | -20 °C | Dry and dark. Keeps to the label date. |
| Reconstituted | 2 to 8 °C | Sterile technique. Avoid repeat freeze and thaw. |
| In transit | Cold pack | Refrigerate or freeze on arrival. |
Is DSIP legal to buy in Australia?
DSIP is not named in the Poisons Standard (June 2026 instrument). Source: the June 2026 Poisons Standard instrument (F2026L00633).
DSIP is not named on WADA's 2026 Prohibited List. WADA's S0 class covers any substance without government approval for human use, so Sport Integrity Australia is the body to confirm its status.

DSIP questions
What has research on DSIP examined?
DSIP was first characterised in rabbits in the 1970s and later studied in animal models and small human sleep studies in the 1980s-1990s, including a double-blind study in chronic insomnia. A 2006 review described its physiological role and receptor as still unresolved.
Is DSIP peptide available in Australia?
Yes. Peptides Collective sells DSIP in Australia for laboratory research use only, at A$78 for 10mg, with a certificate for every batch. DSIP is not named in the Poisons Standard (June 2026 instrument).
How much does DSIP peptide cost?
DSIP costs A$78 for 10mg at Peptides Collective, in Australian dollars. Each price is per vial of lyophilised powder.
Is DSIP a prescription medicine in Australia?
DSIP is not named in the Poisons Standard (June 2026 instrument). Peptides Collective sells it for laboratory research use only.
Is DSIP banned in sport?
DSIP is not named on WADA's 2026 Prohibited List. WADA's S0 class covers any substance without government approval for human use, so Sport Integrity Australia is the body to confirm its status.
What is the CAS number for DSIP?
The CAS number for DSIP is 62568-57-4. Its PubChem CID is 68816.
How long does an unopened DSIP vial keep?
A sealed vial of lyophilised powder keeps to the date on its label when stored frozen, dry and dark. Once reconstituted, keep the solution at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius and record the date on the label.
Does every DSIP batch have a certificate?
Yes. Every DSIP batch is tested by [lab] before it goes on sale, and the certificate is published under the batch number printed on the vial. The current batch certificate is [pending].
Where is DSIP shipped from?
Orders ship tracked from Western Australia. Orders placed before [cut-off] leave the same business day. Delivery estimates by state are on the shipping page.
What purity is the current DSIP batch?
The current DSIP batch certificate is [pending]. When it is published, it reports purity by HPLC to three decimal places and confirms identity by mass spectrometry.
Which solvent reconstitutes DSIP?
BAC Water (sterile water with 0.9% benzyl alcohol) is the usual laboratory solvent. Dilute acetic acid is an alternative for peptides that dissolve poorly in water. Record the solvent, volume and resulting concentration on the vial label.
